I have not always been a Web Developer

In high school, I was just a kid playing with DOS because it let me do fun things more quickly.  In college, I was an art student obsessed with color slide film.  After college, I got a Masters in the humanities because I liked to learn, wanted to teach and didn't have a clue what I was going to do.

It wasn't until a friend exposed me to HTML/CSS that I began to put the pieces together.  The obsession with form and function.  The drive for simplifying communication.  The unabashed nerdiness of the command line.

As many in the web community, I have trouble summarizing what I do in a title.  At bottom, I love crafting user experiences on the web that are intuitive, responsive and a joy to use.  I currently do these things under the working title of User Experience Director at MCN Interactive, a web and merchandising agency based out of Nashville, TN.
